Dale Carnegie Training of Northeast Ohio Offers Leadership Program for High School Seniors

Twenty seven Independence High School seniors who graduated from a Dale Carnegie leadership course were honored in a ceremony at Independence City Hall on November 15th.

The program, which is part of the city’s 25 & Alive initiative, helps students increase self-confidence, improve communication skills, enhance interpersonal abilities, cultivate leadership qualities and manage stress.

This is the eighth year that the Dale Carnegie franchise has offered the program, which has graduated nearly 200 students.

The students establish a goal, then work to achieve it during the demanding eight-week course.

“They learn to believe in themselves,” according to Jeanne Wiedt, the Certified Trainer for the course.
